Ones’ multiple inner characters come to life as Toni Eisold describes his eye-popping and whimsical “Encore” collection. “The “Encore” collection expresses what I have experienced and learned in my last years in Berlin.  My drawings, which I have draped as a print, are central to this. Each piece of clothing is made from a single pattern to take on a cohesive, dynamic form in which the characters of my inner world come to life. The title “Encore” stands for the cyclical, repetitive stages of work processes, everyday events, even life.”

“A Look at EDGE” curates a select few of Neo.Fashion.21 designers whose collections make socially relevant statements and offer storytelling through a fashion lens we don’t often see.  Eisold’s approach to “Encore” takes the serious out of fashion.  Color can do that, it can lift our spirits, but combined with a light-hearted, abstract-infused pattern composition, the experience is a unique emotional high.  This body of work is pure design, taking us to a fanciful state.  The message is clear, “life can be too serious, let’s have some fun”.
